Silver or gold mirrored acrylic toppers are the most affordable and are made of plastic. They have a reflective face like a mirror, the sides are clear, and the back is a matte grey color. The cake spikes are not removable.
Solid brushed metal toppers are made of aluminum, and the natural satin finish is hand sanded on both sides. The finish is a matte shine which can appear to glow when illuminated at a certain angle. The spikes are removable, and the metal is sturdier than acrylic.
